SC Money Tracker
$SC Money Tracker

South Carolina Public Money, Sorted by Year and by Stage.

6,763 line items from state budgets, county budgets, payment reports and incentive records. Each line links to the government document it comes from.

RequestedA legislator asked for it. Not law.
AppropriatedWritten into an adopted budget.
AwardedGranted or contracted to a named recipient.
PaidThe money left the account.

These are different stages of the same money. Adding amounts across stages counts some dollars twice, so this page keeps a separate total for each stage.

By Year

Fiscal years run July 1 to June 30. Company incentives are grouped by the year they were approved, because the payments stretch over many years. Pick any box to open those records below.

Broken, Intermittently

SC Comptroller General Vendor Payment Search

The state's Spending Transparency site often fails to return results. Of 20 attempts on October 1, 2026, 9 failed: eight ended on an "Error Page" that reads "No Error Found," and one went back to the home page with no results. The same request (Palmetto Corp, FY2024-25) failed and then worked minutes later, which points to a fault on the server. Monthly requests failed 6 of 10 times; yearly requests failed 3 of 10.

  • Newest year is FY2024-25. FY2025-26 ended June 30, 2026 and has not been posted yet.
  • A dead link on the site itself: its "Higher Education Spending Transparency" link points to www.cg.sc.gov, a web address that no longer exists.
  • Another route: the Comptroller's monthly spending files list every state payment (vendor, agency, amount, date) as downloadable spreadsheets, FY2014 through June 2025. When the site does return results, they agree with these files: Palmetto Corp shows $250,201,855 for FY2024-25.

Aiken County Budget Archive

The Aiken FY2024-25 budget link only works inside a short archive session, then shows "Your session Time-Out limit has been reached." Use Aiken's Financial Reporting page instead; it is linked on every Aiken record.

York, Sumter, Clarendon, Chester, Chesterfield, Union, Fairfield, McCormick, Newberry, Orangeburg, Williamsburg, Colleton and Beaufort post key budget or award documents as photographs of paper pages instead of text. Amounts from those 29 documents were typed from the page images, and each one matches the printed page.
